As Valentine’s Day quickly approaches, we single ladies wonder what relationships look like for a Servite Friar. We interviewed seniors Jake Ratzlaff and Donnie Sarabia and two Friars who wished to remain anonymous. These questions are juicy and cheesy, so prepare to be struck by Cupid!
Jake Ratzlaff:
Q: What is your ideal date?
A: My ideal date is going somewhere we can walk and get lunch to get to know each other and spend quality time together.
Q: What do you look for in a girl?
A: A girl who is smart, funny, and outwardly kind to others.
Donnie Sarabia:
Q: What is your ideal date?
A: Probably a really random activity like an escape room, a spontaneous adventure, or a swim in a lake (not the beach because there’s too much sand), or something nice like dinner afterward.
Q: What do you look for in a girl?
A: I would love for my future wife to be very determined, ambitious, open-minded, and spontaneous. She has to have a sense of humor.
Anonymous Friar #1:
Q: What is your ideal date?
A: For me it’s a more conversational thing. I always enjoy coffee, sitting on the beach, or taking a walk on a trail. It is important to have an opportunity to get to know the person and being able to have those conversations is the most important part.
Q: What do you look for in a girl?
A: I would say strong faith and morals. I also look for someone who is very passionate and driven, and for her to have a unique personality.
Anonymous Friar #2:
Q: What is your ideal date?
A: The most ideal date would be coffee and then thrifting because I would rather have an experience than just sit there. It gives you something to do and to talk about. I wouldn’t like a movie because then you can’t talk or anything.
Q: What do you look for in a girl?
A: For me, I look for a nice smile and for her to be kind to others and a genuine person. It is important to be kind to people, so that is probably the biggest thing for me. Also, having a similar music taste and appreciation for music is really important to me because I love music.
If any of these answers tugged at your heartstrings, we can put you in contact with these Servite sweethearts. Happy Valentine’s Day!
