Being a senior during college application season comes with the constant reminder of how important it is to have a strong essay that’s also unique and will stand out amongst the crowd. Now that college applications are almost all submitted, let’s see how creative our seniors at Rosary were in their essay ideas. In order to make this interesting, I’ve decided to ask seniors for 1-2 words that best describe what their college essays are about. No elaboration will be provided.
Lianna Enright ‘24: Vomit
Grace Cabrera ‘24: Pillsbury Doughboy
Caitlin Smith ‘24: Thursday
Sara Garcia ‘24: Mind Museum
Kit Hayward ‘24: Uncomfortable snails
Melanie Kamel ‘24: Pink
Paige Sorensen ‘24: New York Times
Mandy Puga ‘24: Picture
Lea Monroy ‘24: The Parent Trap
Nia Delacruz ‘24: Anaphylactic shock
Marcelena Rau ‘24: Cars Movie
Mallory Mojica-Ye ‘24: Balloon molding
Lainey Goldstein’ 24: Track is my life
Paloma Borsari ‘24: Power washer
Briana Reyes ‘24: Rings
Lily Curtis ‘24: Burpees
Sage Baumgartner ‘24: Swim Goggles
As you can see, there is plenty of room for creative liberty when it comes to college essays. I think this goes to show that you shouldn’t be afraid to be unique and truly show off your personality (even if it’s a little strange). Honestly, when it comes to college essays, the more bizarre, the better!
