The new year has officially begun, and as I was doing my annual phone clean-out, I realized that the content of my Notes app is, quite frankly sickeningly random and hectic, but at the same time slightly iconic and intriguing. Personally, the app serves as a hodge-podge for all of my seemingly note-worthy sentiments. From one word, to lists, to essay-length entries, my notes app has seen it all.
Come with me on a journey through my Notes app as we take a swim through my stream of consciousness.
1. Baby Names List: A pure classic. Comparable to my Pinterest wedding board, this list serves as a place for me to daydream and manifest my future life and in this case, list out names that I would possibly give to my future children. To me, it doesn’t even matter where I hear the name: if I even remotely like it, there’s a pretty good chance it’s going straight on the baby name list. However, there are some exemptions to what can be put on there, i.e. names of people I already know, the name “Abcde” (yes, that’s a real name, unfortunately), directions or places (sorry North West or anyone named Dakota), and finally any name that ends with -liegh.
2. Diabolical: I’m honestly not sure exactly why this singular word is written in bold within the depths of my Notes app, but I have a feeling it’s for one of two reasons: 1) I was trying to remind myself to watch “Despicable Me” and spelled ‘despicable’ so horrendously bad, autocorrect was left to pick up the pieces. Or, 2) This single word made me laugh so hysterically hard at some point in my life (a more common occurrence than you’d think) that I wanted to memorialize just how good of a word it is. To be honest, I’m not really sure which one of these is right, but I’m too lazy to delete it so I guess its staying for now until I find out.
3. ¡Español!: My Mexican roots are taking the stage for this one. I’m guessing this was something for my Spanish IV class (shoutout Sra. Kam), but who knows? I mean, upon checking the grammar and style with Spanishdict.com, it’s readable, so I count that as a win for my notes.
4. Songs to listen to: I started this list about 2 years ago when I was on a family road trip to Santa Barbara and the radio station my dad had put on was playing some absolute bangers. For some reason, my Spotify wasn’t loading correctly at that time, so I created a list consisting of the song title and artist name so that I would remember to put it on a playlist later. Two years later and the list has grown to about 133 songs and no aforementioned playlist has been made… BUT, mark my words, one day when I feel so compelled, I will create the best playlist that has ever existed and will put all other playlists to shame!
5. A dress? A demon?: Who is this woman? Out of all of the notes in my Notes app mentioned in this article or not, I think this one takes the cake for the absolute weirdest and most terrifyingly random. I was actually startled when I opened the note to find this lady in a blue dress staring right back at me. Don’t get me wrong, the dress itself is perfection. I really like it and can maybe understand why I put it in here to remember its beauty. What I don’t get is why she looks like she has a personal vendetta against me. All I’m saying is that if I go missing one day, it was her.
I hope you enjoyed taking a peek into my coveted Notes app. After reading this, I encourage you to take a peek into what your notes have to offer and drop a comment to let us know!

I am highly concerned for those who had to read this article. If you were scared by the girl at the end, me too. You are in my prayers.
