Welcome back, Royals! Hope everyone had a lovely time sleeping in until 12. While most of us spent time on the couch or shopping, some Royals had the opportunity to travel around the world during the break. Here are some highlights from their exciting trips.
Sophomore Ella Baroldi traveled with her family to the big island of Hawaii to Kona, Hawaii for a week after Christmas. Ella shared some good memories on her trip: “I loved getting to go fishing and visiting a coffee farm. I also had so much fun boogie boarding and paddle boarding.”
Parker Yee ‘26 spent her break in the Philippines and Taiwan. She said, “I went to visit family that I haven’t seen in a while. I did some shopping and eating. Also, I had a great time hanging out and catching up with family I haven’t seen in a while.”
Dimiana Daskalakis ‘24 had a fabulous time spending her break in Paris, France. She mentioned a few of her favorites: “Paris was absolutely stunning and it was everything I imagined, but my favorite things were seeing the Eiffel Tower twinkling at night and visiting the Palace of Versailles.”
Freshman Terry Chung visited family in Korea during her Christmas break. A highlight of her trip was the food. She mentioned that her favorites on her trip were creamy pasta and Korean strawberry shaved ice.
I hope everyone had a relaxing or action-packed break spending time with family and friends celebrating the holidays. Good luck with the second semester!
