Christmas season is officially here! Since winter break is right around the corner, Friars and Royals are finalizing their present wish lists.
Anything could be on these lists – clothes, a new phone, room decor, gift cards, or even a new pet. Here is what some students are asking for this year:
Servite senior Moises Ibarra said, “Lately I’ve had my eye on some Timberland Classic boots. I feel like I could wear them to almost anything so they’re definitely on my list.”
Zoe Borowski ’24 said, “I’m mostly asking for skincare products. But my favorite item on my list is the Drunk Elephant moisturizer because when you pump it, the lotion comes out in the shape of a flower!”
Luke Sorensen ’26 states, “I want shark fishing rods and a Coastal-TW 200 fishing reel to catch hogs (a.k.a. really big fish).”
Asking for another item with the word “shark” in it, Ashley Hawley ’25 shared, “This year for Christmas, I’m hoping to get the Shark Air Wrap (it’s a hairdryer). It’s a dupe of the Dyson hairdryer and from what I’ve heard, it works pretty much the same.”
Vinny Casella ’24 said, “This Christmas, I’m looking forward to getting a new pair of running shoes for track season. I also wish to be accepted into Penn State. But most importantly, I want Vbucks so I can buy the Battle Pass in Fortnite.”
Another track runner, Julissa Gallegos ’27, explained, “I would really like some new knees for Christmas. I recently started running and ever since, my knees have been acting weird. Sometimes they feel really uncomfortable so that’s why I want new ones. Oh, and a new vanity might be cool too.”
Servite senior Diego Hood-Sanchez ’24 remarked, “I definitely want a new guitar. I love electric guitars like Les Paul, so getting one of those would be awesome. I also want some mics. I want to get into home recording and I need mics so I can get a good sound.”
Senior Sydney O’Blenes ’24 had a very unique Christmas gift request. She explained, “I would absolutely love a book nook diorama to display on my bookshelf because they’re so cool. I can pretend I’m a giant looking in at the tiny scenery.”
Michael Ghebrial ’26 said, “For Christmas, I’m asking for a pair of In-N-Out shoes. I saw a kid in my ASL class who was wearing them and I was like, ‘I want those’. Hopefully, one of my cousins will get them for me during our annual secret Santa gift exchange.”
Overall, Christmas is meant to be a time of joy, faith, family, and yes, gifts. Hopefully, Santa will read this article and give these Friars and Royals everything on their list.
