Pets are more than just animals–they’re cherished members of our families. So, let’s explore some of the cute pets our fellow sisters have at home.
Victoria Niizawa ’24 tells us about her two fluffy friends at home: a dog and bird. She shares, “This is my bird Rocky and my dog Louie. Louie tends to be vicious which is why he is wearing a muzzle…. he likes to bite when he’s mad. He also likes homecooked meals due to his old age and sensitive stomach. Rocky loves junk food–mainly spicy chips. I love them both so much.” I agree with Victoria on how lovable her adorable pets are. I have never met them, but just by looking at this cute photo, I love them too!
Kristiana Guerra ’24 has an adorable dog at home named Roma. Kristiana says, “Roma is only nice to my family–outsiders beware! She will bite you if you get too close to our house.” Sorry, Kristiana, but I don’t care if Roma bites me – she looks too cute not to pet! However, she does look extra scary dressed as a spider for Halloween.
Like Kristiana, Violet Velazquez ’24 has a dog who loves biting into things: “This is my dog, Lacey. She loves going for relaxing car rides and having the fresh breeze in her hair. Her favorite thing to do is sleep and lay in the sun in our backyard. If you ever came to my house, she would love to show you her trick of biting into wholes and spitting out the seeds.”
Rosary teachers have adorable pets too! Madame Neumann shares about one of her many cats: “I have four cats, but one of them is Nyx, named after none other than Nyx, the primordial Greek goddess of the night. My cat must claim everything as her own, including plastic lids to other cat’s litter boxes…” Nyx truly does look like a goddess from the photo. Madame Neuman also wanted to share a few quotes that are universal for pets. She quotes Leonardo da Vinci as she says, “The smallest feline is a masterpiece.” Da Vinci sure knew what he was talking about–tiny pets are so perfect.
Honestly, there is nothing better than some pet pictures to boost serotonin. If you do have a pet, make sure to be extra thankful and make the most of your time with them. They truly are one of the best parts of life.
