Last Wednesday, students were pleasantly surprised with a dance party after their session with the Wellness Wednesday speakers. But no one could have fathomed what was about to go down.
In the distance, there was an unfamiliar sight in the quad: boys on campus. At first glance, students assumed they were hired “hype boys” for the KIIS FM DJ.
Cait Smith ‘24 wondered, “Who are these people and how much are they being paid?”
Her questions were soon answered when they were announced as a rising boy band named Full Circle. They performed a couple of their songs in the quad for students to promote their music. Throughout their mini-concert, members gave handmade jewelry to Royals in the busy crowd. Recipients included Marisol Reza ‘25 who shared, “I felt special.”
Junior Malia Sims said “The DJ takeover at lunch was so much fun! It was so funny seeing everyone’s reactions to the Full Circle Boys performance. The whole dance routine was so unexpected and everyone loved it. Even seeing that the Full Circle Boys made a vlog of it made so many of my friends and I laugh.”
Bella Vallejo ‘26 exclaimed, “They were absolutely majestic. My jaw was on the floor, and now I want to transfer schools for every school performance. Ever since Jagger Moon winked at me, he hasn’t escaped my mind.”
Marci Rau ‘24 said, “I didn’t stay for the full thing, but honestly they really worked their audience. They reminded me of those boys who sang for Pearl’s sixteenth birthday in ‘Spongebob.’ Like I really wanted them to start singing ‘It’s all about you girl! On your sixteenth birthday!’”
Ms. Barclay ‘94 declared, “My favorite part was when they alluded to Keats’ ‘Ode to a Grecian Urn’ while doing a series of 3 backspins ending in a hick kick. I love that sort of thing.”
After the performance, Royal Reporter writers got the chance to interview the group. The boys revealed the shocking news that Rosary was not the first school they had visited. In fact, they even visited another all-girls school a week before coming to campus.
But, nonetheless, Full Circle still has our full support. Check out a couple of their songs by looking them up on your favorite music streaming service!
