Homecoming is just around the corner, which means it’s finally time to get a spray tan, go dress and shoe shopping, and get your roots touched up. With all the preparation girls go through to prepare for Homecoming, we often look past the effort that goes into planning a Hoco proposal.
Over the last days and weeks, girls have been getting asked to homecoming in so many different creative ways. These proposals usually come in the form of a creative poster paired with a candy or teddy bear. Some people find them awkward and uncomfortable, but it is still super fun to get asked to homecoming by your date or even your best friend.
Let’s take a look at some of our Rosary and Servite Hoco Proposals!
To start us off, a lot of seniors’ dates got creative and made their last Hoco proposal extra special. Seniors Briana Reyes, Lily Curtis, Paloma Borsari, and Derien Cardenas all had super cute proposals. Briana Reyes ’24 says: “I was not expecting to be asked because it was already four days before the dance, but I loved my poster and basket!” She got a Mario Bros themed poster and got a matching basket filled with different Mario Bros themed items in it.
Lily Curtis ’24 shared, “I was so surprised because I didn’t know this was happening. My boyfriend texted me to go outside, and I was so in awe of all the pretty lights on the grass. It was so cute.” This was such a creative ask and it looks like a lot of dedication went into it.
Paloma Borsari ’24 excitedly shared, “I was sleeping, so my dad answered the door and told my date to wait 10 minutes so I could get ready. I loved my Taylor Swift poster so much.” He went all out with a cute poster from the album “Fearless.”
The juniors’ dates came up with some fun posters as well! Juniors Daleah Cardenas, Ella Paniagua, and Nikki Green all got surprised with some different themed posters. Ella Paniagua ’25 says, “I was really shocked to see my boyfriend ask me after my volleyball game. He did such a good job with the poster, and I was excited for him to ask me to a dance for the first time.” He came up with a perfect themed poster just in time for Halloween!
Sophomore Emma Muse had an adorable poster made for her. She says, “I was so surprised. I loved it so much and it was the sweetest thing ever. I was also super grateful for how neat the poster was and the theme was perfect because I love Taylor Swift and invisible string is one of my top three songs.”
Last but certainly not least, Makayla Rodriguez ’27 got asked with the cutest Spider-Man themed poster. She also got pretty flowers and a fun stuffed animal of Spider-Man. They look so cute together!
We can’t wait to see all the Royals and their dates on the dance floor at Hoco this Saturday!
