Many Royals may seem normal on the surface, but their wackiness runs deep. Five Royals have come forward to reveal their strange talents, from weird voices and impersonations to everything in between.
Gigi Coo 24’ has a talent of impersonating Jennifer Coolidge. You most likely know her from “Legally Blonde”- and if you don’t know her, you’re missing out. Gigi says, “One day, it just randomly came to me. I saw this girl on TikTok do it, and I kept thinking to myself how awesome it would be to do a Jennifer Coolidge impression, so I tried it, and it just came out!”
Annalise Adamsen 25′ has a talent for impersonating Mickey mouse. She says, “When I was growing up, I would always watch Mickey Mouse, and it was one of my favorite shows. I guess I just started making the impression as a joke, and the more I did it the better I got at it!”
Mallory Mojica-Ye is a senior at Rosary and as of this year found a love for making balloon animals. She says, “I started learning how to make balloon animals because I saw a girl on TikTok doing it and it looked fun, so I just picked it up from there. I love making them because they’re just so cute.”
Jaclyn Gonzales 26′ loves the movie “Little Women” along with many other Royals. One line specifically has been trending on TikTok, and Jaclyn has memorized it. She says, “I love the movie ‘Little Women,’ and I watched it so much to the point that I learned Timothee Chalamet’s monologue to Jo on the hill. I cry every time I see that movie because of how good it is. I don’t even remember a specific moment learning it; I just realized the more I watched it, the more words I knew from it. But anyways, I love ‘Little Women’ and I love Laurie very much.”
Sofie Velasco 26′ has the weirdest talent of them all- she can make a perfect goat noise. She says, “One day I got a spam call and my friends and I in seventh grade (I think) decided to do animal noises to weird out the scammer, and I just did it and that’s how we discovered it- I had never done it before it just happened. It’s one of my favorite party tricks, and my friends joked about our class mascot being a goat because of it. It’s fun doing it in the halls when my friends ask me too and then everyone else around us turns around confused where the noise came from.”
If these five Royals are any indication, it’s clear there’s a lot of talent at Rosary. So even if it’s something small that you might find interesting, like juggling oranges or baking the perfect apple pie, take a page out of these girls’ books and pursue your own unique talent!
