As the magical night of homecoming comes around the corner, there are many exciting events leading up to the dance, one of them being the announcement of the homecoming princesses. Last Friday, the six senior princesses were announced: Bella Florin, Aundrea Velazquez, Finley Hawkins, Jeanna Sheremetta, Keira Lambert, and Madison Roach. Royals also selected two junior princesses: Amelia Perez and Kate Piper.
Being a princess on the homecoming court has been a long time tradition at Rosary Academy. Princess Madison Roach ‘24 commented on getting the opportunity, “I’m grateful to have an opportunity to be on the homecoming court because I wanted to try something new and fun. It was also very exciting to hear that I got to be on the court with my best friend.”
Many Royals are very excited for the big night and to get on the dance floor. Senior princess Finley Hawkins expressed “My favorite homecoming memories are definitely dancing. I’ve convinced myself that it’s the only way to have the most fun at homecoming. Being around my friends and dancing until I can’t anymore is the best feeling ever. ” Bella Florin ‘24 agreed, “Dancing with my friends on the dance floor. I love screaming and dancing all night. Even when my feet hurt, I don’t care because the blisters that form are a reminder of the memories I just made.”
The Servite football game will be very eventful for the princesses; at halftime, each princess will be escorted in long dresses by their fathers and a member of the Servite court. Then, the homecoming king and queen will be revealed. It will definitely be exciting, to say the least.
Congratulations to all the homecoming princesses! We cannot wait to see all of you on the field and on the dance floor. Homecoming this year will be held on Oct. 14 at Servite. Ticket prices will increase to $90 on Oct. 6.
Do not forget to buy your tickets and get ready to have a great time.
