It is an exciting time for the freshman class as they have just elected their class officers. Even though these freshmen are new to Rosary’s campus and still adjusting to high school life, these four Royals have stepped up to lead their class through freshman year.
Freshman class president Olivia Man is excited to make this year count. Olivia explains, “I look forward to being more involved in Rosary, being the face that people know and can talk to, and helping make decisions for freshmen.” When asked how she plans on making a difference at Rosary, Olivia states, “I am planning on making a difference this year as president by fully uniting my class and making sure that everyone’s voices can be heard.”
Next up is vice president, Mariella Tran. She is looking forward to working alongside the other freshman officers to make freshman year a memorable one. Mariella states, “I’m looking forward to help include creative ideas to the upcoming events. I’m also very excited to be close with the girls and create a great sisterhood together.” Mariella also explains she loves the sisterhood that Rosary offers, “Being involved with ASB is a great way for others to bond and of course the great sisterhood. I just really love how Rosary has such a family community, so I want to learn and grow/continue it on for my next 4 years.”
Alyvia McAllister ran for the secretary position, and her class chose her as best fit for this position. This new leadership role brings many responsibilities, but Alyvia is eager to get started.
Treasurer MaryJane Simmons, is excited for her new role as an ASB member. When asked why she chose to run for treasurer she explained, “I chose to run for treasurer since I thought it would fit me best, since I love math.” MaryJane even has previous leadership experience as she was on student council in junior high.
After freshman candidates made their speeches to the entire freshman class, these four were elected as the final representatives. Congrats to these Royals on their new leadership positions!
