With another new school year beginning, a brand new Trinitas Arts Conservatory show season is upon us!
This year, Trinitas’ fall and winter productions are “The Diary of Anne Frank” and “Blithe Spirit,” with guest directors Jeffrey Landman and Frankie Marrone taking the reins on the productions.
On Aug. 30, a plethora of Rosary and Servite hopefuls gathered at the Servite Theatre to audition for the two shows. Monologues in hand, students went up one by one to show the directors their best acting skills.
As all of the auditioners excitedly awaited their turn, a range of emotions buzzed through the air. When asked about how she felt, Matilda Simmons ’26 said, “I was really nervous before I went into my audition, so I kept practicing my monologues over and over again. But, when I finally got up there, my nerves kind of went away . . . and when I sat back down afterwards, I felt really proud of myself.”
After dozens of auditions and hours of deliberations, the cast lists were posted just two days later on Sept. 1. Senior Abby Wright landed the role of Madame Arcati in “Blithe Spirit” and happily stated, “When the cast list came out, and I saw I had gotten the role I wanted, I felt so excited that I hugged my mom and cried. I’ve worked hard all my life for this, and receiving this chance is awesome!”
Soon enough, the first day of “The Diary of Anne Frank” rehearsal rolled around, and the student production team (Nia Delacruz ’24, Jaden Linares, and Nyah Vukoye ’25) even dressed up for the occasion in an “Alvin and the Chipmunks” inspired group costume!
With excitement and enthusiasm, the actors and production team gathered to begin the first read through, marking the exciting beginning of another year of Trinitas.
Be sure to come and watch these fabulous productions hit the Servite stage this November and February. Tickets will be on sale soon at www.trinitasarts.org. Hope to see you there!
