Being one of our generation’s most iconic performers, Beyonce is known for putting on spectacular shows. Two Rosary seniors, Siena Lopez and Gigi Coo, attended Beyonce’s “Renaissance” tour on her first night in LA at SoFi Stadium to witness this iconic performance.
Siena’s favorite song
“AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM” is one of my favorite songs from the “Renaissance” album, so I was looking forward to seeing this performed live. Her iconic and energetic performance definitely surpassed my expectations!
Siena’s outfit
Denim and silver were the two main focuses of my outfit. I wore a denim skirt and a black top with a silver mesh long sleeve. My favorite parts of my outfit were my accessories. The rhinestone top I wore had white feather cuffs, and I had giant silver star earrings on. Essentially, the goal of my outfit was for Beyonce herself to see all of the sparkles and glitter I was wearing from the other side of the stadium.
Gigi’s favorite song
“Drunk in Love.” To be completely honest, I would be lying to say I only have one favorite song. But, if I had to pick one song she performed that night, it would be “Drunk in Love.” Not only is this a Beyonce classic but throughout the duration of the “Renaissance” world tour, she has only performed this song twice. I felt so special that she chose to perform this song the night I attended. The icing on the cake of this song was the 50-second riff at the end. I truly felt as though I was levitating.
Gigi’s outfit
The aesthetic of Beyonce’s most recent album radiated all things sparkly and silver so I had to include those elements in my look. The main pieces of my outfit included a dark grey cargo skirt and a corset matching set with silver zippers all over it. The rest of my outfit was sponsored by Amazon. I had silver-lined sunglasses, star hair charms, a silver statement necklace, silver cuff bracelets, and knee-high metallic cowgirl boots.
Blue Ivy
One of the best moments of the concert had to be when Beyonce’s 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, came on stage. She performed as Beyonce’s background dancer for a few songs and absolutely stole the show. All of the energy and talent Blue Ivy brought to the stage was super inspiring, especially because of her age. Blue Ivy definitely takes after her mom: she is an outstanding performer.
Overall, this concert was an unforgettable experience and it changed our lives. Beyonce herself puts it best: “Do what you are born to do.” She was born to perform and inspire. The glitz and glamour of the Renaissance tour will be remembered forever.
