A new school year means new beginnings and adventures! This year, Rosary welcomes a new science teacher: Mrs. Grasz!
Q: Why did you choose to teach science, and what is your favorite topic to teach?
A: I was a tutor in college, and that’s where I learned I was really good at teaching. My anatomy teacher in high school inspired my love for science. My favorite topic to teach is probably Anatomy or Biology.
Q: Why did you decide to teach at Rosary?
A: I was looking for a change, and decided to try something new. I was kind of inspired by my daughter, who doesn’t really realize how brave she is, and she’s trying a lot of new things. So I decided to take a dose of my own medicine, and was ready for a change!
Q: What hobbies do you enjoy?
A: I like reading, baking, spending time with family, and plants! I have a house full of plants.
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: I do! I have two cats, one I call Crazy Maisy. And Nia, she has a traumatic brain injury. We take care of our crazy little kitties.
Q: What college did you go to and what did you study?
A: Concordia University in Irvine. I had a dual major in Biology and Natural Sciences.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
A: Greece. We planned a family vacation to Europe in 2020, but COVID-19 unfortunately ruined our plans.
Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?
A: I don’t have favorites! If you force me to pick something, I don’t even know what I would pick. There is too much good stuff out there to pick just one.
It is a pleasure to have such a passionate science teacher, we give Mrs. Grasz our best wishes as she begins her first year teaching at Rosary!
