With every new school year comes a set of new faces at Rosary, many of them being teachers. Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Algebra 1 AB, and Calculus instructor Ms. Mangold is the most recent addition to the math department. Take the opportunity to learn a little more about her below!
Q: Where did you attend college, and what was your major?
A: I attended UC Irvine, I studied math, and I got my master’s and teaching credential from Chapman University.
Q: What sparked your interest in teaching and in math?
A: I’ve always liked math (ever since I was in high school), and I realized I loved explaining math. I wanted to help students understand in a way that made it fun and understandable for them.
Q: What do you think of Rosary so far?
A: I love it here! I love the campus culture and the community; all of the students and faculty are very kind and welcoming. Everyone’s been so supportive, and I’ve had a really fun time teaching here so far.
Q: What are you most excited for this year?
A: Red and Gold
Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: I enjoy watching TV, hanging out with my friends, getting iced coffee, and playing video games.
Q: What’s your Starbucks order?
A: My go-to fall order is an iced vanilla latte with pumpkin cold foam.
Q: Do you have a pet?
A: I have a dog named Calypso, and she is a Jack Russell Terrier.
Q: Any other interesting facts you’d like to share?
A: I have danced ever since I was little, and I can play two instruments (clarinet and alto saxophone).
