JV Team ready for every opponent ahead!

This past Monday, March 27, the Rosary Junior Varsity Lacrosse Team competed against El Dorado at 3:30 p.m. Despite the 5-10 loss, the game definitely had some memorable moments.

Though Varsity captain Kimi Watanabe ’26 had not watched the game, she supportively commented on Freshman player Julia Morales, “Julia, just recently started playing goalie and made 15 saves that day!”

Julia gave more details on her performance: “The El Dorado game was the first time I played as a lacrosse goalie in a real game! I was pretty nervous going into it and was nervous I would make a lot of mistakes. But, I think it was a great learning experience for me as a soccer goalkeeper, and it helped me become better at reacting to fast shots. I have a long way to go, and I will make some mistakes. But overall, I’m glad I got to help out the team!”

Julia’s teammate, Natalia Solares ‘26, elaborated on her game experience: “Overall, the game was a good learning experience for the JV team. Julia did really well. This was her first game as a goalie, and she did amazing!”

Even though the JV team did not get the results they strived for, it was an amazing learning experience for the whole team. Best of luck to Rosary’s lacrosse athletes and go Royals!
