The Rosary Varsity Basketball Team was recently named  #2 in Orange County in the OC Register. Since most of the team are returners, the girls have had time to build chemistry on the court and play to their full potential.

Junior Allison Clarke, was named All County Guard last year and averaged 26 points a game. She said, “The way we play on the court will be commensurate with our hard work.”

The Rosary basketball team practices year round, and it really pays off when the season comes around. All the games are really exciting to watch because of how competitive they get.

Ava Dominguez ’23 shared her excitement about this season, “I’m excited because we continue to surprise people with all of our accomplishments. It helps our team confidence and makes us want to work harder.”

Last year, the basketball team went 7-1 in Trinity League, earning them second place in the league. They intend to do even better this season and improve their skills on the court

Allison shares how she thinks the team will preform this year saying, “Obviously, the goal every year is to win a league championship and state championship and, we’re going to be working to get to those end results.  If we work hard, push each other to our limits, and try our absolute best, I’m good with whatever result that lands us.”

The basketball team will be starting Trinity League games starting on Feb. 1 against Orange Lutheran. This will be a home game in the Karcher Center starting at 7 p.m. Come out and support the team this season!
