The 47th Toronto International Film Festival took place last week on Sept. 8, 2022. Some of the biggest stars in today’s film industry have dazzled on the red carpet in some unforgettable clothing pieces, causing a loud uproar from many fans online.

While some stars decided on a more simple and professional look, others dedicated their time on the carpet to showing off their amazing style choices.

First off, Emma Corrin graced the red carpet in a custom all-black Miu Miu bodysuit with gorgeous tulle sleeves that acted as a flowy train. Emma paired their all-black outfit with a unique makeup look that consisted of silver/green highlights between their eyes. Corrin’s look stole most of the spotlight with their daring look for the “My Policeman” movie premier, though there was more to come from this movie’s cast.

Also a part of the “My Policeman” cast, Harry Styles unsurprisingly stuns with his courageous and outstanding fashion choices. Styles took the carpet in a custom Gucci green suit with a floral brooch and a green Gucci handbag. Harry is heavily praised for his fashion sense; however, it should be noted that the person who works the magic behind the scenes is Harry Lambert, Styles’ stylist.

Furthermore, Taylor Swift, shocked fans with her breathtaking golden dress. Swift stunned in a custom Louis Vuitton dress with gold mirrored sequins and golden chains for the sleeves. Fans, myself included, were absolutely star-struck over Taylor’s dress for her “All Too Well (10-minute version) (Taylor’s Version)” short film.

Lastly, Sheila Atim glammed up for the premier of “The Woman King” in a gorgeous black two piece gown. The custom Erdem gown contained small detailing of diamond flowers and sparkly sequins. One of the most noticeable things about Atim’s look was the long train of the dress, which caught many photographers’ eyes on the red carpet.

Although the Toronto International Film Festival is designed to celebrate new films by premiering them to a live audience, the red carpet fashion is always an added bonus to look forward to in addition to the new movies. These looks are definitely unforgettable and have certainly blown away fashion critics, like myself.
