As fall is approaching so are triathlon meets. This year, the Rosary Academy Triathlon Team is looking for girls to compete.

Triathlon consists of swimming, biking, and running. Triathlon Coach Adam Harita ’90 gave more information about the sport: “Although Triathlon is an Olympic and NCAA College sport, the first and most important expectation for members of the triathlon team is to have fun!”

He then went on to discuss the benefits of triathlon: “Benefits of being on the team are an increase in awesomeness, fitness, and happiness.”

Freshman triathlete Christina Vaughan 26added, “It’s really fun, and it has definitely given me more of an appreciation for swimmers and what they do. It’s a lot of hard work, but it’s really fun.”

You do not need any prior experience in the sport to join. If you are interested in joining contact Coach Harita at  [email protected]. Practices are on Sundays at 7:30 a.m. at the Newport Beach Back Bay.
