Hello everyone and welcome or welcome back to my channel! Before we get into the video, why don’t you like and subscribe down below? ONLY 1% OF VIEWERS ARE SUBSCRIBED TO MY CHANNEL, SO MAKE SURE TO HIT THAT BUTTON BELOW!!!

Okay, I’m sure you’re tired of it already. I am too! There’s nothing like a good ol’ clickbait thumbnail or overly jaunty intro to get you into the YouTube-ing mood, eh?

Luckily, YouTube has much more beyond the classic ‘HIT THE BELL BELOW!!!” YouTube has a plethora of videos from every genre and niche possible. Gaming? Of course. Vlogging? Basically second-nature. Music videos, animations, full-blown productions, tutorials, video essays, short films, reaction videos, awful DIY hacks, and so much more. YouTube has got it all, including many of Royals’ favorites!

Alex Hutchison ‘22 talks about her favorite YouTuber: “I love Jenna Marbles because she is creative, hilarious, spontaneous, and basically the internet’s mom. She has all sorts of videos ranging from dressing up her dogs to crafting her very own toothbrush costume for Halloween. She’s such a kind person and even though she’s decided to give the internet a break, I wish her all the best and hope she knows how much her fans love her! I found her through a friend in middle school who said that if I wanted some *quirky* and funny content I should look up this amazing woman. And I did! I fell in love with her content and her family (which consists of many dogs and one [1] very handsome man named Julian) immediately. She is just the coolest and has so much range. So… if you are looking for some funny and original content: LOOK UP JENNA MARBLES!”

In addition, Jaclyn ‘Jackie’ Rodriguez ‘22 talks about her favorite YouTuber: “My favorite YouTuber of all time is the one and only Valkyrae. Her videos and content really stand out and she is so enjoyable to watch. Valkyrae is not only a YouTuber, but also a variety streamer. She has played many games like ‘Among Us,’ ‘GTA,’ ‘Valorant,’ and so much more. She is also a great businesswoman, co-owning an ESPORTS company called 100 Thieves. I started watching her content over quarantine and, I got to say, she really caught my attention. What made me so interested in watching was her bubbly and bright personality, her confidence, and her humor.”

Furthermore, Katie Fang ‘22 talks about her favorite YouTuber: “Besides the wonderful izzera, I like chubbyemu videos because they make me second guess before I put something in my mouth that probably shouldn’t be edible. I feel like I gain an ounce of common sense every time I watch his videos.”

Okay, I’m not going to say I’ve heard of all these channels, but I’m certainly intrigued now! I think I will definitely spend another seven hours of my time watching YouTube videos, indeed.

Ah, but now you’re wondering, ‘why didn’t you use different intros for the quotes? It got a little repetitive and was that a cop-out for having to come up with different ones?’ etc., etc. Well, glad you asked! (Also, when will I ever not break the fourth wall? It’s seriously messing with the immersion)

It’s a means to segway to my favorite YouTuber. Smooth, right? Anyway, my favorite YouTuber is Markiplier. I’ve mentioned him here and there in my articles, so if you haven’t gotten the hint yet, you’re not reading my articles. And *AHEM* *AHEM* my views per article are looking a little low lately. Just saying.

I’ve been watching Markiplier since 2016, first watching his reaction videos before delving further into his actual stuff. And yes, I watched a lot of reaction videos in 2016. It was 2016, after all. At first glance, he might just seem like a person who plays video games on YouTube. That would be a very astute observation because he does do that. But beyond that, he uploads comedy sketches, the weirdly niche Sour Patch Kid video every so often, and large, high-effort projects with extensive lore like “Who Killed Markiplier?” and the upcoming “In Space with Markiplier.” Beyond his content, he’s genuine and honest with his audience, funny, clever, and really entertaining! Whether you watch him for his gaming videos or his choose-your-own-adventure productions, it’s always a good time!

On another note, if you enjoy aesthetic vlogs that romanticize life (and school, somehow), I recommend you go watch linh truong! Her videos make life seem like a living Studio Ghibli movie and they always find a way to motivate me to be productive!

To continue, Trinity Delacruz ‘22 says, “I don’t really watch any popular YouTubers on the regular, but my favorite channel has to be Kurzgesagt — In a Nutshell. They have a plethora of informational videos speaking about the wonders of space, philosophy, humanity, and science in general. Their sleek animations make information easy to digest and super entertaining to watch. I definitely recommend their channel. I now have a bunch of random space facts in my brain.

Danielle Rodriguez ‘22 adds, “It’s Chris Klemens! He’s really funny and his videos were always so fun to watch when we were all at home! He does interviews in public, challenge videos, and reviews! I think I found him when I was 13/14, but then got reintroduced throughout 2020 quarantine! My favorite videos are the interviews he does! They’re super funny!”

Irene Fernandez ‘22 also mentions, “I really like video essay sort of YouTube videos. My favorite YouTuber to watch right now is Mina Le. She has videos about so many topics. There are videos on history, music, movies, fashion trends, and other topics that are so interesting to me. Her videos are really insightful, and my personal favorites right now are ‘gen z vs. millennials: who’s right about their jeans’ and ‘the tumblr girl is coming back.’”

All in all, YouTube is a wonderful place for all sorts of people and all sorts of videos! Whatever you’re looking for, I’m sure you’ll find it. If you’re interested in any of the channels mentioned here, feel free to check them out! If you have any channels or YouTubers you really like, also feel free to COMMENT AND LIKE DOWN BELOW!

Haha, gottem.
