Artists of TikTok
February 17, 2022
Through TikTok, many people have been able to reach out and connect with global audiences, allowing them to express themselves. Artists, especially during the pandemic, have used this as an opportunity to display their creative freedom.
Here are some talented artists that you should check out:
Ana Latese
As it is Black History Month, I thought it would be fitting to share some works of @analatese, an illustrator who focuses on creating Black art. Growing up as a young Black woman, Ana didn’t see a lot of Black artists, which later on inspired her to create these illustrations beautifully portraying the men, women, and children in the Black community.
Anna-Laura Art
If you enjoy good vibes and cute animals, then you would love @annalaura_art. As a comic artist, Anna Laura posts cute comics and doodles, often with nice positive messages and self-care reminders. Anna’s account mainly consists of whimsical animal art, particularly the daily lives of two monkeys and the little moments they share with each other.
Hannah Mosley
For those who enjoy learning about different folktales, @mosleydraws is the perfect account. Listen to Hannah as she speaks about the deadly “Nuckelavee” or the mysterious “Herne the Hunter” while drawing these captivating creatures.
ScrapbooksbyBailey
If you enjoy movies and a variety of aesthetics, then you’ll love @scrapbooks.by.bailey! From films to music, Bailey makes these beautiful scrapbooking collages, perfectly encapsulating the entire vibe in each spread.
Janani Selvaradj
I would say that @jananiselvaradj is a criminally underrated artist on TikTok. With the amount of intricate thought and detail she puts in her makeup, she truly does fulfill the name “Heartist” (an artist that uses their creativity, innovation and empowerment to heart-warm, spotlight to genuinely connect with their audience).
If you enjoyed these works, be sure to show these talented people some support!
