Have you ever binge-watched a series that you wanted to go through the screen and live in? Or rewatched a movie over a million times to a point where you’ve memorized the dialogue by heart? (I’m looking at you, Bee Movie enthusiasts.) Or even had a favorite character that you just wished you could meet?

I know I have! And after speaking to a few people about their favorite shows and movies, it seems like I’m not the only one!

My friend Kristine Quintinar ‘22 says she would love to live in the Teen Wolf universe. “It would be so cool to see the characters in real life and be a part of the storyline.”

The President, CEO, and founder of the Star Wars Club Brianna Dreyer ‘22 says the Star Wars movies are where she would love to live. “I want to live in the Star Wars universe because I want to be able to fly through hyperspace and meet alien species like the Twi’leks!”

Freshman Addison Patz says she would want to live in the Harry Potter universe. “It’d be fun to live in the Wizarding World because there’s so much you can do in it, especially with the cool magic. I also want to get a pet owl and go to Hogwarts.”

Anime lover Rhea Sigur ‘22 says the world in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure would be a fun place to live in. “It’s fun, exciting, and I would want to be in that universe to fight evil, promote justice, and of course talk to the characters, like Joseph Joestar and Jotaro Kujo.”

Speaking of anime, junior Katriel Cenabre says she would want to live in the Pokemon universe. “Pokemon has been my favorite video game since I was a kid, and I’ve always fantasized about having my very own Pokemon team. (For those interested, my ideal team is Espeon, Milotic, Blaziken, Ninetales, Goodra, and Togekiss).”

Overall, I came to the conclusion that many people would rather live in a fictional universe than the real one, and honestly I couldn’t agree more.
