When I meet someone for the first time, the first thing that comes to my mind is, “Gosh, what celebrity do they look like?”

This year specifically, there were TONS of new editions to the Royal Reporter staff. Some new faces and others that I have seen around but have never really properly met.

After meeting some of the new recruits, I could not help but instantaneously connect them to a celebrity they look like.

Kicking off this list is fellow junior, Emma Oskorus. Initially, I could not match any celebrity to Emma, but that all changed following the 2021 Met Gala. Coincidentally, Emma and her celebrity lookalike, Emma Raducanu, happen to share the same first name. Raducanu is a famous British tennis player, and let me just say, her resemblance to Emma is nuts! The resemblance was the most noticeable between the two from Raducanu’s Met Gala look. If we’re talking more specifically, both Emma’s share the same dark brown almost black hair, medium hair length, similar deep brown eyes, and head shape. 

If you thought the first resemblance was accurate, wait till you see this next one. After watching Sofia Coppola’s film “The Virgin Suicides,” I could not help but notice how one of the Lisbon sisters looked so much like one of my fellow classmates. Therese Lisbon, played by Leslie Hayman, looks EXACTLY like senior Daly Holman. If I were to dissect the resemblance, I would say the hooded blue eyes and the light dirty blonde hair are definitely the key factor’s between the resemblance the two share. 

Alongside Emma and Daly’s celebrity lookalikes, I could not help but notice how much senior Keira Sarni resembled one of the biggest pop star’s of our generation: Taylor Swift, specifically in her Speak Now era. This resemblance for me is really in the eyes. The two share the same blue upturned eyes as well as very similar honey blonde hair.

Last but not least is one of the lookalikes that will make you do a double take. This twin pairing is between “Outer Banks” star Madelyn Cline and fellow Royal Reporter writer Elizabeth Martinez ’22. Cline is known for her iconic lip shape, and Liz shares the very distinct lip shape with the star. Alongside the similarities facial wise, Cline and Liz also share similar sun-kissed blonde hair.
