Meet Maurice, our well-known security guard in the back parking lot. Maurice is always in the back parking lot ready to put smile on student’s face whenever they see him.

Q: Where were you born and raised?

I was born in South Bend, Indiana. I lived in Detroit, Michigan and Springfield, Massachusetts. I moved out to California in 1996.

Q: How long have you been a Rosary Security Guard?

I am going on six years.

Q: What’s your favorite part about being a member of the Rosary family?

I always love to see the students walking up in the morning.

Q: What’s your funniest/greatest memory while being here at Rosary?

The stories I hear from you girls. The girls always have a lot of stories.

Q: Outside of being a security guard at Rosary, what are some other hobbies/activities you enjoy?

Weightlifting and boxing, but I work all the time. You know me.

Q: Is there anything else that you would want Rosary students to know about you?

They pretty much know me, I really love and care for them. I really look forward going to work everyday because of them.

Q: How do you manage to know everybody’s name?

I study the face book. There is a book with all of the girls school pictures in it, and I go home and look at it to be able to tell who everyone is. Although, this year it has been challenging with the masks to recognize people.
