Inside Anna DiCrisi’s fantastical car
September 15, 2021
A seemingly normal looking sleek, white, and shiny car dwells in the Rosary student parking lot every school day.
Little do Royals know the true eccentricity of this car, which belongs to Rosary senior Anna DiCrisi.
Anna shared what exactly makes her car so fantastical, but she began with saying that the far less exciting exterior of the car is a white Subaru Crosstreck.
She went on to discuss the meaning behind her car’s name: “Her name is Pepper! As in Iron Man’s wife, Pepper Pots.”
Anna shared the list of peculiar decorations which give Pepper her significance: “I have my frog that says ‘forever’ which Marysol Cazarez ’21 gave me during last year’s Red and Gold. Unfortunately, it is stained with caramel. My car also houses my gnome, my guardian angel, and the protector of Pepper, Theesle. Fellow senior Katie Thomas bought it for me after I expressed my deep rooted RESENTMENT towards garden gnomes. I also always have my pink butterfly glasses which were given to me by my close friend Emma Silva ’23.”
She went on to reveal the oddities that can be found in Pepper’s trunk: “I have 100 blank CDs given to me by Rosary math teacher Mr. Gangler. Aside from my blank CD collection, I have a Disney Goofy hat for the upcoming Trinitas Disney show and MULTIPLE leis. On the left side of my passenger row, you can find a plethora of uniforms scattering the floor.”
Anna’s dear friend and fellow Rosary senior Elena Walz described the overall vibe that Pepper exudes: “Stepping into Anna’s car is like transcending into a different multiverse. The normal laws of gravity and motion do not apply to Pepper. When I get in, there’s a small moment of trepidation because I have equal chances of sitting on Anna’s breakfast as I do of finding old Red and Gold posters from last February.”
Alongside Elena’s admiration for Pepper, Rosary religion teacher Ms. Rosales shared her thoughts on students like Anna decorating their cars: “Personally, I love it! When I sit in traffic, I love to look at other people’s car décor and bumper stickers in order to try and put together how they are as an individual. So, I think it’s fun, creative, unique, and personal for Royals to spruce up their cars!”
Ms. Barclay, however, shared: “Anna needs to clean out her car and focus on driving. This is all completely absurd.”
Now that the true oddities that lie within Pepper are known, Royals may just feel a tinge of magic next time they walk by her in the student parking lot!

I very much agree with Ms. Barclay. I feel that SOME drivers may need a very calm and focused environment so the they can safely navigate the Rosary parking lot.

I am the gnome
who sits in the car.
When it is unlocked,
I ensure nothing goes far.
I love Anna
and I love Katie
I will serve them both
until they are eighty.

I l o v e that Pepper is named after Pepper Pots. Also, I wish the best for the ‘forever’ frog and Theesle the gnome.
