The high-school years are an important time for teenagers to learn and grow. Students are asked to form their own opinions and beliefs about a variety of topics before they enter the adult world.

One realm in which students become more active in is politics! But regardless of anyone’s party or beliefs, all informed citizens need to know who their representatives in Congress are on the national and state level.

Social Studies teacher Ms. Gavin explains that it’s important to know your Representatives “because the driving force of democracy is participation, and if people don’t participate, then there is no real democracy.
