The Rosary Community welcomes back Ms. Pautsch as Head of School. Ms. Pautsch worked here three years ago and then went to work at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. She came back to Rosary after her short hiatus and couldn’t be more excited about it. The Royal Reporter asked Ms. Pautsch about some of her thoughts about the Rosary girl and the future of the school.

RR: What do you find most enjoyable about your position right now?

Ms. Pautsch: Coming back and getting reacquainted with everyone, the role is so different because it’s now about the position of the school. This entails continuing the traditions of the school and making a few tweaks here and there. I look forward to making sure we’re here for the next 50 years.

RR: In your words, what is the ideal Rosary girl?

Ms. P: The ideal Rosary girl is someone who has a sense of humor and practices humility. She is kind and compassionate, but is also not afraid to be a bright and empowered individual. The Rosary girl speaks her mind about social justice issues and reflects her actions not just in a monetary sense, but because she is a good person.

RR: What advice do you give to those who are striving to live this ideal?

Ms. P: Don’t be afraid to be yourself. Sometimes you’ll have to challenge yourself and when you do, find a role model that you can look up to.

RR: What would you like the Rosary community to know about you?

Ms. P: The door is always open and I’ll always listen. I’ve always cared very much about this place, and I want the girls to love their experience here. My hope is that they go out and find that next step for themselves.

Take it from someone who knows the ins and outs of Rosary, Ms. Pautsch encourages all Royals to expand their knowledge and try things out of their comfort zone. Rosary’s English Department Chair, Ms. Barclay, shared, “Rosary is extremely lucky to have Ms. Pautsch return.  She’s already made a positive impact on the faculty and staff with her open-door policy and clear love for the students. This school is in excellent hands.”

If you see Ms. Pautsch in the hallways or in your classrooms, be sure to give her a big Rosary welcome (back).
