There is nothing better to do on a late summer night than go to a concert with your best friends. Whether it’s R&B, hip-hop, EDM, classical, or country, seeing your favorite artist live is an amazing feeling. Some Royals were lucky enough to live this experience this past summer break and share their experiences:

RR: Who did you go see?

Claire Brier (2018): I went to see country singer Justin Moore with my friends Ceci Rossi and Nick Jason.

RR: Where was the concert?

Claire Brier: The concert was at the Pacific Amphitheater next to the OC Fair.

RR: What was your favorite memory of the night?

Claire Brier: My favorite memory was the opener Tyler Rich because I had never heard his music before, and he ended up sounding amazing. After the concert we walked around the OC Fair and then went to Yogurtland.

Maddie Nye (2018) is known for her love of concerts and was thrilled when she was able to attend one this summer.

RR: Who did you go see?

Maddie Nye: I saw the Bad Suns in June with my best friend Alex. It was at the Fonda Theater in L.A.

RR: Did anything special happen?

Maddie Nye: The lead singer of the band leaped into the crowd, and we helped him crowd surf.

Rhenee Martinez (2018) enjoys playing songs on full blast. She was very ecstatic when she went to a concert and heard her favorite music pounding in her ears.

RR: Who did you go see?

Rhenee Martinez: I saw Missy Elliot with my older brother and cousin in Los Angeles.

RR: What was something that stood out to you from that night?

Rhenee Martinez: The best part of the night was when my brother and I were dancing along to the music.

RR: What did you do after the concert?

Rhenee Martinez: We went to In-N-Out and listened to Missy Elliot’s songs on the way home. My brother and I even choreographed some dances to a few of her songs the next day!

Now that school is back in session, it seems everyone will be listening to their favorite music through their earphones while studying for the next math test. However, it appears these Royals were enjoying themselves and making the most of their summer experience by attending some of the best concerts.
