The Homecoming Rally took place this past Wednesday, spotlighting the Homecoming Court through fun games and challenges. Homecoming is already this weekend, but we have been celebrating with spirit dress this whole week. In honor of Homecoming’s medieval theme, the theme for Wednesday’s rally was also medieval. On the Homecoming Court, there are six senior princesses and five princes, and three junior princes and two princesses. Servite junior and senior princes were also able to attend the rally and participate in the games. The Homecoming Rally is always another great way to celebrate the Homecoming season!

During the rally, pairs from the court competed in different games against each other. One of the senior princesses, Parker Yee ‘26, said, “I love being a Hoco princess! The rally was so fun. I was paired up with Servite Prince Brandon Robinson ’26! We played a bunch of fun games like Dress to Impress.” Many students loved watching the pairs play this game, where the princes competed to wrap the princesses in toilet paper the best in a limited amount of time.
Another senior princess, Vanessa Malagon ‘26, gave her review of the rally. Vanessa shared, “I really enjoyed the rally. The relay game was my favorite and most fun game we played. I loved everyone’s energy in the gym.” This was another entertaining game to watch the court played as they raced to complete the relay the fastest. In this game students loved watching the three-legged race, sliding on the skateboard and more to see who would win.

One of the Junior Princesses, Alexis Perez, noted, “The rally was so much fun! I loved the energy, and I’m beyond excited for both the game on Friday and homecoming!” Alexis not only felt all the student’s energy through the games but also is a dancer for the Rosary Dance Team. During the rally, dance and cheer each gave their own performances and even had a few moments performing together. It is always a lot of fun to watch them compete and hear the excitement of all the students cheering them on.
The rally is always a great way to continue building excitement for homecoming and the festivities leading up to it. Michaela Watson ‘26 shares her thoughts on homecoming: “I am so excited for Hoco weekend, especially the game, because I think it’s so fun that court gets to be announced in front of all of our family and friends! The rally was really exciting and funny, getting to play all the games with the rest of the court! It’s been a great experience so far!” Yes, Michaela definitely highlights all the special things about homecoming that make it a memorable event; you don’t want to miss it.
The full Homecoming Court is made up of 16 people: 11 seniors and five juniors. The Senior Princesses are Parker Yee, Michaela Watson, Brigid LeVecke , Carol Reyna-Jackson, Vanessa Malagon and Kate Duarte. The Senior Princes are Gavin Barnard, Jaden Rasic, Travis Fox, Brandon Robinson and Jack Gogan. The Junior Princesses are Alexis Perez and Lexie Curtis. The Junior Princes are Jacob Paul Becerra, Martin Preston and Vincent Martinez. Voting for the court will take place on Friday during the school day. Make sure not to miss the homecoming game on Friday night against JSerra, where the Homecoming King and Queen will be announced. The theme is blackout. Hopefully this week has continued to build up excitement for this weekend and hope to see everyone having fun at homecoming!
