Everyone’s favorite koala, Buster Moon, is back with even bigger dreams of making his mark in the entertainment industry. Unlike the first movie, rather than making his dream come true in his town, he takes his singers to Redshore City to make it big in the entertainment industry.

We are introduced to new characters, classic pop songs, and even more celebrity voice actors. Returning to the film were actors and singers which included Reese Witherspoon, Taron Egerton, Scarlett Johansson, Nick Kroll, Matthew McConaughey, and Tori Kelly. Featured in the new film were singers Halsey as Porsche and U2’s Bono as Clay Calloway.

While the film did have its slow moments, my eyes would not leave the screen due to all the singing and flashing colors. I would say the storyline was more suitable for an older audience as they did mention some mature topics. These topics included the passing of someone’s wife, flirtatious behavior between a couple of the characters, and violent actions towards characters.

However, the choice of music was just too perfect. Johnny the gorilla belts his heart out singing Coldplay and Shawn Mendes, Ash the hedgehog sings “Heads will Roll,” and Clay Calloway sings one of U2’s greatest hits. I could not help but dance in my seat.

As someone who has seen this movie three times, the love I have for this film is pretty obvious. Would I see it again? Yes. Do I plan on seeing it twice in this next week? Absolutely, I do.
