The wonderful Mr. Marrone.

Alicia Dofelmier, Features Editor

When first touring Rosary and hearing about the many different extracurricular activities offered, you probably discovered Trinitas Arts Conservatory. Mr. Marrone is the Executive Artistic Director of Trinitas Arts Conservatory. Trinitas would not be the amazing place it is without the amazing expertise of Mr. Marrone. I had the chance to interview him to help the Rosary community get to know him better.

Q. Where were you born and raised?

A: La Mirada, California

Q: Where did you to college and what did you major in?

A: Boston Conservatory, BFA Musical Theatre; and Currently Roosevelt University, MA in Directing.

Q: What is your family like?

A: Loud! Haha, loving, supportive, loyal, generous, kind, thoughtful, and VERY funny.

Q: What is your favorite musical?

A: Gypsy

Q: What would be your dream role on Broadway?

A: Sweeney Todd

Q: How did you end up at Servite?

A: My parents MADE me go to Servite (I wanted to go to OCSA) but how right they were because Tri-School Theatre (Trinitas Arts Conservatory) changed the trajectory of my life, and introduced me to people I’m STILL friends with.

Q: What is your favorite part about working at Servite?

A: It feels like home getting to come back and be on this side of the experience. I’ve been a student and performer on this stage so, it’s been rewarding and fulfilling getting to lead the program and direct the productions here.

Q: What is your favorite memory from your time at Servite?

A: Probably opening night of “How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.” It was my first lead-y lead and I didn’t realize what a great show we had until our curtain call opening night.

Q: What is the one piece of advice that you hope your students will always carry with them?

A: The game of comparisons is a LETHAL one. There is NO ONE like you. God has given us all our own gifts. Focus on who you are, who you want to be, and your gifts and the Holy Spirit will lead you to your calling.

When asked what she thinks of Mr. Marrone, Bridgette Sanders ‘23 said, “We are truly blessed to have Mr. Marrone as our director. He is incredibly passionate, and his energy shows up in all of us and radiates in our production.”

Mr. Marrone is truly a man of many talents. With his amazing directorial skills and wonderful personality, he is the perfect fit as Trinitas’s Executive Artistic Director.
