Last week on Friday, May 7th, the Rosary Softball team travelled to Santa Margarita Catholic High School to play their softball team and beat them 2-0.

This win was a big deal for the Royals because it was the first time they had won a Trinity League game since their 2018 season and the first time they beat Santa Margarita since their 2016 season.

Tom Tice, Rosary’s softball coach for almost 30 seasons, expressed his excitement about the win saying, “It was exciting to beat one of the best teams in the county and important to win a Trinity League game. Any time you can do that, it’s very important to your team’s ability to make the playoffs.”

As of May 12th, Rosary softball has played each Trinity League team once and will be finishing up their League games within the next few weeks. Their next league game is Wednesday, May 19th, against Mater Dei at Fountain Valley Sports Park.

Their last games of the season are as follows:

JSerra Catholic High School on Friday, May 21st at OLG*
Orange Lutheran High School on Monday, May 24th at OLG*
Santa Margarita Catholic High School on Tuesday, May 25th at OLG*
