The end of the year 2020 is upon us, and while there were many crazy events that took place in that period of time, there were also good things that left a memorable impact on us. Each person has a different concept of what “good” is; nonetheless, something as small as a single compliment could make someone’s day.

This Thanksgiving season, it would be beneficial to reflect on the positives rather than the negatives of 2020. For example, Brooke Medina 22′ explains the importance of family and friendship. She states, “I am grateful for my family who always supports me, my friends who always know how to make me smile, and I am also grateful for Boba, it just hits different and is really good.”

This importance of family is the love, support, and care provide amongst its members. Love is inherited by each member of a family. With that love, we pass it on to the people around us such as our friends.

Our friendships are important because they can help us deal with stressful situations, as well as give us the positive reinforcement we need. Good friends help us develop our self-esteem, which is essential to get through life.

Family and friends are one of the many perks of life that we should be grateful for. During the break, try to make it a goal to thank your family and friends for all they do and remember to thank God as well for giving them to you.
