Although this Halloween is looking a little different, many spooky and fun events are still going on with Covid-safe guidelines. Many popular Halloween spots in Orange County range from scary to family fun.

The most popular and famous scary activity is The 17th Door Haunt Experience right here in Fullerton. However, this attraction is not for the faint of heart and is only for 16 years and older. Guests must sign a waiver before entering because of its serious spookiness. Guests are required to wear masks and the staff supplies you with gloves and hand sanitizer before you enter. The cast members are also required to wear masks as well.

Kate Goggins ’21 who went with her family explains, “This is hands down the best Halloween experience I have been to in Orange County. I love Halloween and I love to get scared, but this experience was crazy.”

A new Halloween attraction is the Urban Legends Drive-Thru Haunt which is located at the OC Fairgrounds. In the safety of your own vehicle, you drive through scary and interactive scenes. The drive thru also contains a light show and special effects to make the monsters come alive from a distance.

For a more family friendly attraction, Tanaka Farms is always a classic OC Halloween event. Their pumpkin patch offers two options of either a drive-thru Pumpkin Farm Experience or a U-Pick Pumpkin with Wagon Ride. The wagon ride offers a fun tour around the farm, while the drive-thru offers an in-vehicle only experience where you can pull over and pick your own pumpkin.

This year, Halloween is not cancelled, but improvised! Many fun activities are modified to keep everyone safe, but still able to fun have.
