Kate Noden, Editor-in-Chief

You may remember her from her time here at Rosary Academy because Anna Babiak ’17 was everywhere.  The editor-in-chief for the Royal Reporter for two years, Anna also starred on Rosary’s varsity soccer team as the starting goalkeeper for 4 years and served as PAL’s publicity officer.  Currently she is attending Missouri Valley College and pursing her passion for radio broadcasting.

Planning on studying communications and continuing her interest in reporting, Anna got a job at KMMO, a radio station in Marshall, MO. She has already received two awards from the Missouri Broadcast Education Association for her PSA and Radio Aircheck.

Her dream is to work professionally in the broadcasting business and make it to NPR international.

As if that wasn’t enough, she is representing her major in the Honors Program and serving on the Advisory Board. Throughout this program, she was able to travel to Hout Bay, South Africa to work with 6th and 7th graders to enhance their math and English skills. She described her favorite part as “going to a penguin beach.”

You might think Anna would have no free time on her hands, but you’d be wrong again.  Anna also plays lacrosse for her school!

When asked how Rosary shaped her future, she replied, “Rosary has shaped me into a woman with a voice. Going to Rosary made me a confident, intelligent, and outgoing woman which has helped me in my college career.”

In Anna’s life, there is never a dull moment. We wish Anna the best and to keep making Rosary proud.
