It’s that time of year again: Girl Scout Cookie Season. From lemon-icing-topped shortbread cookies, to caramel toasted coconut-covered cookies, there is sure to be a flavor of cookie that your taste buds desire. The Royal Reporter is here to give you a break down of all the cookies being sold this season.

Thin Mints: These mint-flavored cookies, with a delicious chocolate covering, are the “most popular cookie bought,” explains Caylee Santos ‘20. These cookies will melt in your mouth, and deliver all your chocolate cravings.

Caramel deLites/Samoas: With a taste of toasted coconut and caramel, these cookies are sure to be your top favorite. Sarah Bradford ’23 explains, “I love caramel in general. I normally don’t like coconut, but the combination of the two is amazing.”

Shortbread: These simple, delicious shortbread cookies are the perfect cookie for anyone who does not enjoy sweets. Lolani Blas ‘21 explains, “Don’t get me wrong, I love chocolate, but sometimes I just want a plain cookie. The taste may be plain, but they’re tasty like that.”

Thanks-A-Lot: In addition to the Shortbread cookies, we also have the Thanks-A-Lot. The only difference between the two is that the Thanks-A-Lot has fudge on the bottom.  The cool thing about these cookies is that they are embossed with the phrase ‘Thank You’ in different languages.

Peanut Butter Patties/ Tagalongs: This yummy vanilla cookie has peanut butter filling, and a to finish it off, a chocolate coating. If you love peanut butter and chocolate, this cookie is for you. Mrs.Ward explains, “I love peanut butter. Peanut butter cookies, peanut butter on a spoon, peanut butter on bread. And the cookies are not just peanut butter but it’s a peanut butter cookie with feeling. Calories don’t count when it’s for charity.”

Do-si-dos/ Peanut Butter Sandwiches: Similar to Tagalogs, these oatmeal cookies have delicious peanut butter filling. Itzel Perez ‘20 says, “I would normally go for the Tagalogs, but I couldn’t resist the oatmeal cookie part of the Do-si-dos. I recommend these to everyone to try.”

Caramel Chocolate Chip: This cookie is not your average cookie. It has caramel as well as irresistible chocolate. While no one really knew that these cookies existed, they’re “very delicious” according to Sofia Thomas ‘21.

Toffee-tastic: These buttery cookies have small bits of toffee in them to deliver an unexpected taste. Even if you don’t like toffee, these cookies are still delicious.

Girl-Scout S’mores: These crunchy graham sandwich cookies have a delicious marshmallow filling, sure to remind you of campfire s’mores. How could you say no?

Lemon Ups/Lemonades: These cookies are new this year, and many have been confusing them with the similar cookie, Lemonades. The Lemon Ups have a more tangy icing on the bottom, while the Lemonades have a sweet icing under the cookie.
