Duck’s Donuts is an up and coming donut shop located in the U.S. and is known for their made-to-order donuts. According to their website, Duck’s Donuts first began in Duck, North Carolina, where the DiGilio family vacationed. After visiting North Carolina year after year, they soon realized that there was no place to go for a fresh, warm donut. In 2007, they opened their first donut shop, and vowed to serve every donut with a smile, friendliness, and love. In 2012, only 4 Duck’s Donuts shops were open, and in 2018, 222 stores opened.

Not only does Duck’s Donuts sell coffee and donuts, but they also give back to the community. In their Quack Gives Back program, they promote partnering with community groups to raise awareness and funds for their causes. Duck’s Donuts helps support a non-profit organization called Gabe’s Chemo Duck Program, which provides education, comfort, and hope through stuffed ducks, medical play, and therapeutic tools. Since 2017, Duck’s Donuts has raised more than $140,000 for this program. To see more about this program, check our their video here.

Duck’s Donuts offers many different flavors of deliciously warm donuts. From featured donuts to custom made, each customer leaves the shop happy and satisfied. Some of the most famous donuts consist of smores, peanut butter icing topped with oreo cookie pieces and hot fudge drizzle, and a maple bacon donut with maple icing and chopped bacon. Maria Braatz ‘20 says, “I went to Duck’s Donuts in my Junior year. I got an iced coffee and a maple bacon donut. They made the donut for me right after I ordered, so when took my first bite it was the most perfect donut ever. I can’t wait to go back soon.” Another special feature of Duck’s Donuts is their made-to-order option. When ordering, customers have the option of choosing their coating (base), topping, and drizzle. The shop has many toppings and drizzles such as sprinkles, oreo crumbles, coconut, and more. The drizzles consist of hot fudge, salted caramel,  peanut butter, and many more choices. Kat Davis ‘20 tried one of Duck’s Donuts custom made delights and says, “I custom made one with a bare base, chocolate icing, and topped it with oreos and peanut butter drizzle. It was definitely the best donut I’ve ever had and I would absolutely recommend.”
