Friars, Koalas, and Royals Oh My! Homecoming Rally 2019

On Wednesday, October 23, the Royals paired up with their Servite brothers and Connelly sisters to celebrate the upcoming Homecoming festivities.

Everyone entered the gym covered head to toe in red and gold accessories. If you missed the rally, the Royal Reporter is here to show you all of the highlights of this fun filled flex period.

The senior class entered the Karcher Center beaming with energy and enthusiasm.

Senior Daniela Moran shared, “We all came out with determination to win the spirit stick. We refused to leave the gym without it.” This mentality was shared with many of Daniela’s senior sisters.

Junior Brooke Edwards led the rally with much enthusiasm. She shared, “All of the grades had so much energy which always makes hosting rallies much more fun.”

During the rally, many exciting games were played. The audience watched as the Homecoming princesses did their Homecoming prince counterparts’ makeup. Similarly, the Servite princes had to dress in the Rosary uniform complete with a lanyard. Senior Tristen Wilson ’20 was applauded by Dean Nanry for his appropriate skirt length which helped him win the competition.

During the rally, Senior Melanie Beltran was shocked after taking off her blindfold during a game and seeing her boyfriend with a poster reading “Will you be my princess at HOCO?” Melanie was shocked. “I had no idea he was going to ask me,” she continued, “It was scary but overall I thought the gesture was very sweet.”

Every grade level brought tremendous excrement to the 2019 Homecoming rally, but there can only be one spirit stick winner. After a lot of yelling and cheering, the Seniors were awarded with the spirit stick.

Homecoming is this Saturday the 26th. Be sure to follow the yellow brick road and dance the night away at Homecoming 2019, “Wizard of Oz.”
