On Monday, April 15th, the school rallied onto the field to watch the Gold juniors and seniors take on the Red juniors and seniors in an intense yet overall fun game of powder puff!

Gold team was led by Mr. Faubl, Ms. Huerta, and Ms. Barclay while Red team was coached by Mr. Stegink, Mr. Chavez, and Mrs. Basford. Each team stretched, passed, and hyped each other up prior to the intense game. Each coach gave a pep talk, then the girls were off to the field, ready to fight for bragging rights.

The field was full of screams and chants (probably deafening the children at Saint Julianna’s). Gold team scored the first three touchdowns, two of which were received from long passes from junior basketball star Asia Avinger. Red team responded with a touchdown afterwards with a long pass from junior Bryn Bosnanski, but after that it was all Gold! Gold! Gold! who won a final score of 35-7.

Jaelynn Perez ’19, an offensive player for Gold, says,”It was really fun! It brought back a lot of the hype that’s been missing since Red and Gold ended and it felt like a great day to be Royal.”
