Early action, early decision, regular decision… These words cannot be more familiar to seniors. Fortunately, college application season is finally over, and as the seniors wait in anticipation they are filled with emotions. This is definitely a stressful time for all seniors, but eventually there will be a good outcome for everyone. We interviewed a couple of Rosary seniors on their experience with the whole process.

We first interviewed Sophia Mall ’19.

RR: what does the waiting feel like for you?

Sophia: It feels very stressful, especially when people who applied early actions and early decisions have already gotten into your dream school, it makes you more nervous.

RR: Are you excited to go to your college?

Sophia: I’m super excited to move on to new things and to be able to experience the whole aspects to be a college students.

RR: How are you managing your stress?

Sophia: Well, I just try my best to not think about it and to do something I like to do to distract myself.

Our next student is Jaelynn Perez ’19.

RR: What does the waiting feel like for you?

Jaelynn: Its annoying and nerve racking. You start to overthink and have negative thoughts towards the whole college thing as time goes by and it the longer it takes for a response. I really hope that I can be accepted.

RR: Are you excited to go to your college?

Jaelynn: I can’t wait to leave Rosary and start college. It’s a new starting point for me in my life.

RR: How are you managing your stress?

Jaelynn: I tried to spend more time with my friends and to have the best memory with them because we are not going to be together in college. I am so sad.

RR: How do you feel about waiting your college outcome?

Sophia: It gives me anxiety and it makes me nervous when people ask me and I haven’t heard back from school yet. It stresses me out.

RR: Are you looking forward to be a college student?

Sophia: I’m so excited to go to college but not exited to leave Rosary because I like my friends and teachers. It’s so sad to leave Rosary and my best friends.

RR: How are you manage your stress?

Sophia: I try to focus on other things instead of think about college over and over again.

Finally, we interviewed Sara Labreche ’19.

RR: How are you doing with waiting your college outcome?

Sara: I try not to think about it and distract myself but it’s getting hard because I find out whether I was accepted or not in a few weeks.

RR: Are you excited to be in college?

Sara: I’m excited to see a new part of the country because my dream school is out of the town.

Seniors are going through one of the most stressful time in their lives, even though this time is hard for them, we all know they will do exceedingly well. We are proud of our seniors and know they will excel in their lives with their many talents and amazing abilities.
