Although Christmas was a time of family, fun, and Jesus, Royals were ready to tear open the wrapping paper and see what Santa had gotten them. Besides the plethora of Airpods and iPhone X’s that seemed to have swept the Academy this holiday season, there were other special gifts Royals received.

Amelia Fiorentino ‘21 both received and gave the cutest gift of the season! “I got a matching friendship collar with my dog. She wears the actual collar, and I have a bracelet version. We can now be together no matter what!”

Bernadette Hattouni ‘20 was gifted a beautiful Kendra Scott necklace. The gift was definitely her parents’ way of thanking her for being such a Royal Scholar.

Juliana Esquivel ‘19 got a Friends-themed photo holder from her crafty mother. “She took all my favorite pictures of me and my best friends turning them into Polaroids. I can’t wait to have this hanging in my dorm in college!” How sweet of Mama Esquivel.

Junior Laurie Younes was also blessed with an extraordinary, coming-of-age gift: Volkswagen Jetta! “Getting a car was definitely the coolest Christmas surprise! Although I now have the added responsibility of being the family chauffeur, I’m pumped to hit the road with my vehicle!” Fullerton drivers, beware.

Beloved pets, like Duke, senior Alexandra Samawi’s beautiful Labrador-German Sheperd mix, received love as well. Duke was gifted a fashionably festive Christmas scarf that he proudly boasted. As a high-fashion canine model, this sophisticated pupper wears nothing but the best.

But, let’s not forget about our Royal teachers; social studies teacher Mrs. Ward gifted her daughter Jade a beautiful brand-new red Razor scooter. How adorable! Mrs. Ward made sure to also include a helmet—safety first.

It’s safe to say that Royals (and their pets) definitely enjoyed this lovely season of giving. Alas, second semester has begun and it’s time to hit the books.
