Although high school may be intimidating, especially to a freshman, this advice guide from students of different grade levels could help ease even the most frazzled freshman into high school.

Madison Mojica Ye ‘21 tells The Royal Reporter,“Red and Gold is a great opportunity to build new friendships, even with upperclassmen. Also, it is important to keep money on you at all times, because there may be random bake sales from clubs during break.”

Amara Miranda ‘20 explains how she utilized her high school facilities such as the LEC. She shared, “Do your homework and the LEC is especially a great place to study for tests, and it is easy to make study groups with your friends.”

Since the LEC allows students to use private rooms, people are able to work in groups to study for tests, finish projects, or do homework together in a quieter area.

Lily Grudichak ‘19 and Margarita Diaz ‘19 also state the importance of joining clubs, sports, and other activities in order to find friends. They commented, “Make the most of it freshman year, because the years go by fast, and you don’t want to regret not getting involved enough.”

These students shared their advice on how they got through their freshman year. All students went through this process, so everyone around you understands the difficult transition from middle school to high school. All students from Rosary Academy are ready and willing to welcome all freshmen to an exciting four-year experience.
