Volleyball Hits It Off

Stellar spikes, fire serves, and competitive cheers roared from the Karcher Center this Tuesday as Rosary’s very own varsity volleyball team racked up another win against Santa Ana. On August 21st Rosary’s varsity volleyball team played against Santa Ana at Rosary and won 3-0.

The Royal Reporter asked the Associate Head Coach Chas Hamann a few questions about the upcoming season.

RR: How do you expect the varsity volleyball season to go?

Coach Hamann: “We expect the season to go well especially with the high level of talent we have this year.  We have some good Senior leadership with Caitlyn Shank, Lanie Adamsen, and Hannah Laughlin.”

RR: What are your hopes for this upcoming season?

Coach Hamann: “We hope they enjoy their season, get better as a volleyball player, bond with their teammates and win as many games as possible.”

The Royal Reporter also asked some of the team players their thoughts on the season.

RR: What are you most excited about this upcoming volleyball season?

Sophia Lambros ’20: “I’m excited to be on a team with amazing people because we get along so well. I think as a team this year we are the closest as a group that we have ever been, and we have a real chance of being successful and going really far this season.”

RR: What are you most excited about this upcoming volleyball season?

Paige Sokol ’21: “I’m most excited to show everyone how hard we’ve been working and show off our success this season, due to our closeness as a team.”

The Royals are very excited about the start of volleyball season and cannot wait to hear the announcements in the morning notifying the school of a win.
