The start of the school year has brought several new additions to the Rosary faculty and staff- but did you know that Rosary is welcoming back a familiar face?

The English department is blessed with the return of Ms. Young, 2005 Rosary graduate and former English teacher. This year, she is back teaching senior English, along with one class of sophomore English. The seniors were ecstatic on hearing of her return over the summer, excited to get to work with her on their reading, writing, and college applications.

“I’ve only heard the best things about Ms. Young and what you take away from her class!” senior Julia Lewis says, “I’m so excited to experience her class and I think it will make me a better writer. We (the seniors) were all hoping she’d come back and teach again.”

After teaching at Rosary for three years, Ms. Young left to teach at a public school for a short year. During that time, she was deeply missed by Rosary faculty and students alike, and it seems she missed them too.

Ms. Young says, “It’s nice to be back at a school where there’s not a ton of surprises. I know how Rosary works and what to expect out of you guys, plus it’s WAY WAY WAY WAY WAAAY more fun teaching all girls. WAY more fun, smells less.”

Ms. Young is excited to be back, and she can’t wait to chaperone prom and see her students at graduation. But she’s not anywhere near as excited as the Royal community is to have her back.
