Batter, batter, swing!

On Wednesday, May 9th, the softball team celebrated the seniors and their last game together. With family and friends in the stands cheering the team on, the Softball Royals played their hearts out against Mater Dei. Even though it was a tough loss, the team left everything on the field and ended the night with food, laughter, and smiles as they celebrated the seniors.

Sydney Markos’18: “Softball has been a part of my life for so many years, and after tearing my ACL freshman year, it was so cool being able to play one last season for my senior year.”

Jordan Lawton’18: “I have been playing softball since I was eight-years-old, so this being my last game ever is crazy and also sad. I loved being able to have my dad as my coach for my last season ever. I know everything I learned throughout the years in softball will stay with me forever.”

GCU, Lewis and Clark, UC Davis, OCC, and Purdue will be the future homes for the softball seniors. Despite the distance between them, the seniors will always remember the place where it all started–on the field with their teammates. Thank you seniors for all you’ve done these past four years and good luck in college.
