Are you tired of normal, average lunch at school? Are you looking to spice up your taste buds? Consider some of the strange snacks your fellow Royals crave that might surprise you. From abnormal snacks to unbelievable ideas, Rosary Royals can be quite creative with their meals.

Senior Shayne Abuyen shares the idea of certain combinations, and Vanessa Orrin is shocked.

Chick-Fil-A has won the hearts of many students. Sometimes you may even catch the sight of these popular to-go bags at lunch. Senior Anna Shyne says she prefers a lot of food topped with the classic Chick-Fil-A sauce. “My top combos are Chick-Fil-A sauce with Goldfish crackers or quesadillas.” Who doesn’t love Chick-Fil-A sauce?

Milkshakes are delicious and french fries are the best, but put them together and you’ll be wowed. Sophomore Allison Perea claims one of her favorite food combinations has to be the two together. Salty and sweet can be a favorite taste so you can see why this combo can be common. Allison adds on for her fellow Royals, “If you go to In-N-Out make sure you try it!”

Another sweet treat to try is onion rings with whip cream. Don’t believe it? Ask junior Joy Joukhadar! “They were made to be together. Whip cream is so light and sweet, and onion rings are so hot and salty. I literally cried, in pure joy, when I tried it.”

If you’re a fan of spicy things than this is the thing for you! Senior Samantha Figueroa likes to put a twist on french fries and eat them with wing hot sauce. She exclaims, “It tastes so good!” Samantha also likes to add some spice in her sandwiches. “Hot Cheetos or Lays in a sandwich is a must-do.”

Sophomore Christina Borbon likes to make breakfast more interesting by adding syrup to her eggs. In her description her eggs taste “savory and sweet.” As for other combinations, Christina is cool about them except when it comes to pizza: “Pineapple does not belong on pizza.”

There are so many combinations other Royals have tried that you might want to consider. Senior Nicole Siess likes to have her bananas with orange juice and has even convinced Samantha Figueroa to try it. Next time you see a fellow Royal eat a combination you might think is weird or enticing, ask to try it and who knows? You might be changing your food groups or making your own combinations.
