Hey Royals! Valentine’s Day is only a couple of weeks away, but more importantly, so is Galentine’s Day. In case you’re unfamiliar, Feb. 13 is Galentine’s Day, which is dedicated to celebrating female friendships and the love we have for each other.

So, whether or not you have a Valentine for the Day of Love, be sure to grab your gal pals the day before and show them how much they mean to you. Here are some great ideas on how to spend the day:

1. Salon

A classic spa day is the perfect Galentine’s Day activity. Getting your nails done is definitely the best way to spend a day with your BFF at the salon– especially for some matching Valentine’s sets. But, if you’re still holding on to your outgrown Winter Formal nails, then you should definitely get a fresh blowout and hit the town after to show off your cute hair.

2. Brunch

Everyone knows the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach. To show your besties some love, plan a brunch date! The greatest combination to ever exist, breakfast and lunch, will certainly fill up everyone in your friend group with happiness. I recommend Poached in Downey or Kimmie’s Coffee Cup in Anaheim Hills.

3. Picnic

Scenic picnics are the best for any sunny day of the week– especially for a special day meant to be shared with your friends. I think I can speak for everyone when I say the stomach rules over everything, and picnics are the perfect place to have some good food and good times. Whether you go to a local park or the beach, be sure to take lots of pictures!

4. Baking day and game night

If your friends are as big of fans of baking as my friend group is then a baking day is absolutely in order for Galentine’s Day. Valentine’s desserts are the cutest and making it a competition would add more excitement to your day. While your lovely cupcakes or cookies are baking, play some board games and enjoy the rest of your night.

Whatever you decide to do, make sure to enjoy the presence and fun of your friends above all else. Happy Galentine’s Day!
