I don’t know about anyone else, but recently my For You page has been flooded with videos of influencers doing “get ready with me” vlogs.  I must admit I have become gradually obsessed and captivated by these posts. It’s fine, call me basic… but I love them.

While most of these videos consist of girls ranting and rushing to leave their house, I must say I learn a lot from just watching how people get ready. However, I think we can all agree that the one thing we can take away from these videos is the trending beauty products people are recommending. 2023 makeup trends are in full swing, so here are all the famous trends you need to add to your makeup bag this year.

  1. Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Blush

I think this one is obvious, but natural blush colors are so in this year. Rare Beauty absolutely killed this product not only because its light and smooth, but also because of the wide variety of shades the company offers. This product undoubtedly has our generation RAVINGGGG. I am personally an unwavering fan, and would 10/10 recommend this blush to anyone.

  1. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand

I have no idea what Charlotte Tilbury is up to because it seems every single one of their products is rocking the markets right now, but the contour wand has taken the world by storm. The liquid bronzer gives your face that perfect contour wherever you might need it, leaving your skin with a flawless glowy look. This one is worth all the hype.

  1. Skin Tints

While this may not be a specific recommendation, let me inform you that skin tints have SAVED my skin. Foundations today provide so much coverage, and while yes, I do need that at times, more often than not, I am looking for a light natural look. Skin tints provide you the color and coverage you want without suffocating your face and clogging your pores. Your face gets to feel light, your face gets to breathe, and you feel great… its perfect.

If you are look for some brands to try, I have Ilia, but I have also heard that Glossier, Saie, and Westman Atelier are great places to begin! Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops are also taking the beauty market by storm, so if you can get your hands on those they are worth the shot. The Skinimalism era is upon us.

  1. Lipstick/Lip-gloss

Lips have always been a staple of beauty culture, but let it be known that bold lips are coming back for 2023. Whether its red, fuchsia, or even a deep purple, be prepared. MAC lipsticks have been my staple for years, but Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, Armani, and Fenty lipsticks have never done me wrong. (P.S. make sure you remember to always invest in quality lip balms. You can’t rock a bold color when your lips are chapped).

Along with bold lips, the lip-gloss craze is set to continue into 2023. SO make sure you have your Dior Lip Oil, Tower 28 Lip Jelly, or Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb ready to go!

  1. Colored Mascara

I have heard rumors that colored mascara could be hot this year. While I don’t quite know how that makes me feel, I am intrigued to see if the brown and blue mascara shades really do blowup. Do your research and stay tuned!

  1. Face Jewels

When Taylor Swift drops an album with a song called Bejeweled… is it really a coincidence face gems are making a comeback? Just take it as a sign and order your jewels from Amazon ASAP.

I hope you all channel your inner influencer this year by investing in quality beauty products. Remember makeup is just an extra, and you are all perfect just the way you are. But it is always fun and refreshing to get dressed up and look amazing while doing it!
