Rosary Academy introduces another member of the staff this school year, Ms. Sutcliffe. Ms. Sutcliffe is the brand new trainer here at Rosary. I had the privilege of interviewing Ms. Sutcliffe about her passion for athletic training, and some background information for why she came to Rosary as well as some fun facts about herself.

Q: Where did you go to college, and what did you major in?

A: I went to college at Cal State Long Beach, where I majored in Athletic Training.

Q: How did you discover your passion for being a trainer and helping out others?

A: I grew up watching college football, and I saw the athletic trainers go on the field to help injured players.  I liked that they got to be part of the action and help the athletes.

Q: What made you come to Rosary?

A: I like that Rosary gives me the opportunity to do both athletic training and teaching; I enjoy being able to teach students about what I’m passionate about.

Q: What are some things you enjoy outside of the school setting?

A: Outside of school, I love watching baseball and football, playing softball, skiing, snowboarding, and walking my dogs.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: My favorite food is BBQ.

Q: What is one fun fact about yourself?

A: A fun fact about me is that I used to work as an athletic trainer with the LA Fire Department.

Rosary Academy is very excited to welcome Ms. Sutcliffe to campus this school year. If you see her around at school, don’t be afraid to introduce yourself or even say hello.

Here is Ms. Sutcliffe when she used to work with the LAFD. They allowed her to try on the turnout gear.
