Erika Kuehl committed to Baylor University.

Colleen Schmitt, Staff Writer

Senior Erika Kuehl is going to be a Baylor Bear this coming fall. I had the opportunity to interview her and ask her a few questions about going to Baylor and what she is looking forward to.

Q: What made you want to apply to Baylor in the first place?

A: I didn’t know really know much about Baylor in the beginning of the school year. But, when the admissions representative visited Rosary, I quickly fell in love with the school and decided to apply.

Q: What was the application process like?

A: The application was super easy. I did it through Common App, and they only asked one supplemental question which made the process so much quicker than other colleges I applied to.

Q: Have you visited Baylor? Where is it?

A: Baylor is in Waco, Texas, and I visited in January for a scholarship opportunity. The campus was absolutely beautiful, and I am so excited to see the seasons change there!

Q: Do you like Texas and the area it is in?

A: I really do love Texas. Waco is a pretty small town, but it is starting to expand because of the iconic Magnolia Farms. I like that Baylor is only a two-hour drive from Dallas, so it makes it really easy to explore other parts of the state.

Q : Are you excited or nervous to move out of California?

A: I am honestly very excited to move out of California, just so I can experience life differently and learn about the world around me.

Q: What are you looking forward to the most about going to Baylor?

A: I am looking forward to the homecoming parade, football games, and whatever else Baylor has to offer. I am also so excited to rush for a sorority in the spring!

Erika shared what she is looking forward to the most saying, “I can’t wait to go to the Baylor Line Camp this summer and make new friends while getting to know the campus and Waco area!”

The Rosary Academy community wishes Erika the best of luck next year at Baylor University. GO BEARS!
